EPW - Continental multicolor gold fusee with closely matching period chatelaine, 39mm, the pair together measuring 14cm (5.5 inches) long, 18K gold OF consular case with panel on back of women with child in a swing, replaced unsigned period mvt, 18K multicolor gold chatelaine with two panels, the upper an amateur painting, the lower original to the chatelaine, the tang in gilt silver, KWKS, WED, verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, without number. Gross weight of assembled watch and chatelaine together 47.3 dwt (73.5 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, irregular escapement function speeding and slowing, plates show fine gilding, little oxide on steel components; dial perfect; mint hour hand, replaced minute; case shows little wear, few MFS to panel, no dents or dings, crisp and complete detail; button latch good, button with gold loss on top; bow & pendant original; good domed glass crystal; chatelaine is near mint, crisp multicolor work, the upper panel replaced.
